CSR MENDELU

Two big events before the start of the semester so that we don't get bored. The conference on social entrepreneurship is already a tradition, and we were looking forward to it for the second time, knowing what to expect. New this year was a 5-day international workshop for 55 participants organized as part of the NAWA project. 😎

On Monday, 36 students from Poland, Albania, Kosovo, and Spain arrived, accompanied by nine academics. Together with our 9 students, they worked in teams on ideas for improving the sustainability of Mendelova univerzita v Brně from a student's perspective. 💪 💚 🌱

They learned how sustainability works at our university, gathered inspiration from prestigious foreign universities (analysis of reports, websites), supplemented them with experiences from their own countries, and looked at examples from business (an excursion to SONNENTOR , for which we are grateful to Josef Dvořáček and his team, who were very accommodating as always!). They conducted a risk and impact analysis and learned how to implement the Flourishing Business Canvas for these ideas.

We ourselves were curious 🙀 to see how far the students could get in three intensive days of work (from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day) – from zero knowledge of sustainability to meaningful ideas – and we were very pleasantly surprised! ☝ There were lots of great inspirations that we will discuss not only at our university, but students and academics are also taking the ideas back to their home countries.
