Busted! 😎 But I mean this isn't the most living way--and actually I'm so flattered. My mom, who is not an extrovert when it comes to feelings and emotions, printed off this prompt from this month's newsletter (The Debrief/December).
I challenged my readers to acknowledge their successes for 2025 instead of making resolutions for 2026. I use this technique when I feel low, but wow! I know she's my mom but as a mom, she would rather give the advice than take it. Lol
So when she does something like this, and finds inspiration in my work, I feel it to my core.

Part 4: To honor of The Bloodline's anniversary (and the trilogy completed), here are some of my fave moments from Curtis. He's bitter, quiet, and keeps a lot of hurt inside. Though he feels robbed of peace, readers get to discover another side of Curtis, one that takes the bitterness and channels it into something meaningful--even developing a spicy sense of humor.

In honor of The Bloodline turning one year old (and the trilogy completed), I've decided to compile some of my favorite moments for each character. Hunter doesn't have the easy "funny" moments, but he's innovative and learns quickly, just like any great leader does. He takes his experiences and internalizes them until he's able to find the lessons so he can grow.
Throughout the trilogy, he offers wisdom that is unexpected yet practical in any situation—I even found myself using his advice at work a couple of months ago—and told my boss that I took a dose of my own character's medicine. LMAO. He strives to be fair and just, pursuing the mission’s objective while minimizing harm and refusing to kill unnecessarily—even when ordered to do so.
