A lovely neighbour dropped off 4 cooking apples yesterday with strict instructions to use them straight away! I had just finished ready a recipe that I wanted to try from Jennifer Segal] and thought ... French tea cake to take to David's cousins this afternoon! ☕️🫖. Doubled the recipe as had 4 apples and made the cake and a dozen patty cakes. Absolutely delicious. Moist. And so much flavour. The cake is with the reallies... dropped off treats to neighbours... and this is all that is left after Davies and my morning tea😂🙏 I'm very glad I have bought the book now. Can not wait to have a read.

Last Friday I had to make a quick trip up to Hereford. On the way home I decided not to take the fastest way back to Bristol. Instead I took a more scenic route. Came across a town called . So pretty to see the business on the Main Street had hanging baskets out the front of their buildings. After walking the Main Street and stocking up on food supplies for Smithy's weekend meals, I continued the trip home. Next was a place called Selsely. Such a picturesque village with stunning views. Decided I had to take David back to see this hidden gem.
