Dafa Puppet Theater was co-founded by theatre director, puppeteer and musician: Husam Abed and puppeteer and designer: Reka Deak. Since 2015, Dafa takes from the city of Prague a base for its artistic creation and works worldwide.

Dafa explores new methods in the field, creates theatre performances and interventions, designs specialized workshops, organizes festivals and art residencies and assists the educational sector. As a program, it derives its philosophy from theatre as a public practice. Dafa invites members of the community, after giving them artistic techniques and tools to address authentically issues and concerns facing their community and their world.

Dafa offers a platform for using Alternative and puppet theatre techniques to reach the whole refugees and underprivileged communities everywhere; by using the modern puppet theatre techniques and the inexpensive art concept. Dafa provide skills and specialized programs for artists, educators and social activists.
