Urban Planning and Traffic Solutions

The new health center is a single compact structure in a natural and confident position at the rear of the site. Its V-shaped form responds to Úzká Street and the historic Čeřovka building, creating a clearly structured complex with a landscaped courtyard. The open forecourt leaves no doubt this is a public institution, though a more distinctive sign is missing. The façade facing Úzká Street is perceived as a boundary, and the landscaping toward Úzká Street is considered insufficiently justified. The traffic solution is viewed positively, clearly separating cars from pedestrians with a dispersed and unobtrusive layout. The jury recommends increasing the number of parking spaces on the site and alleviating parking pressure on Potoční Street.

Architectural Design

The architectural concept for both buildings is confident and natural. The jury positively evaluates the visual connection between the two structures, the sensitive renovation of the historic Čeřovka building, the minimalist layout with logical distribution of functions, and the connection between interior and exterior. The jury recommends examining apartment options within a typical floor of the Čeřovka building. The accessible green roofs add value and enhance the appeal of the space.

Technical Solution, Sustainability, Economics

The new building features a standard monolithic reinforced concrete structure. Flat green roofs require emphasis on high-quality construction. Technical facilities are logically placed in the basement, with efficient vertical and horizontal circulation. The use of hollow-core slabs is positively evaluated for allowing future adaptation of the building's use.

SuperMost – SuperPrior: New use for a department store

The first dialogue has its winners! 🥇

re:architekti + baukuh + panorama

Based on a thorough study of department store typology from the second half of the 20th century, the design offers a compelling solution for bringing the building’s modernist essence into the present. The central motif — the arcade as a symbol of urbanity — connects the building thoughtfully with its surroundings and anchors a rich program centered on multigenerational use. The project is grounded in a clear architectural concept and a respectful approach to the existing structure and materials, including a sensitive use of light. A key strength is the operational logic, which nonetheless preserves flexibility of use. Interior insulation and climate control (temperature zones, natural and manually controlled ventilation) are designed realistically and supported by international experience. The roof crown (the billboard element) and the interior color scheme invite further refinement.

As the most significant Czech cultural monument and the largest castle complex in the world, Prague Castle deserves a lighting concept that honours its history, architecture and its unmistakable presence on the Prague skyline. Finding that solution is no small task — and it begins today.

The selected teams are meeting today 23. 4. 2026 at the Castle for Workshop 1, marking the official start of a rigorous, expert-led process built on research and a deep respect for this extraordinary place.

Vison Kladno

The results are in — congratulations to Cobe + monom for winning the Vision Kladno competition. 🏆

The jury praised winning design by Cobe and monom studios is appreciated by the jury for its understandable, appropriate and at the same time layered approach, which combines a strong concept with a high degree of flexibility. The design appears balanced even at first reading and offers a well-chosen scale corresponding to the character of the area. The jury considers the work with the landscape and public space to be of particularly high quality. The design sensitively follows the green belt and convincingly formulates the edge of the designed area, while the center is activated in a natural and functional way. The urban design is also considered well-thought-out in terms of operation and future development. The design offers high-quality public spaces, including a well-functioning square, and allows for logical phasing. The rotation of the residential structure towards the industrial zone with an emphasis on Libušina Street is also positively evaluated. The jury appreciates the design's ability to clearly formulate its identity and clearly define iconic elements without the need for formal ostentatiousness. Overall, the design appears as a user-friendly solution with an emphasis on the quality of the environment for everyday life. The jury considers the proposal to be of exceptional quality, which convincingly connects urban and landscape principles and offers a robust foundation for further development of the area.

SuperStudio is the fourth and final competitive dialogue in the SuperMost series. This dialogue focuses on the transformation of the former municipal library.

The SuperStudio competitive dialogue invites participants to explore new purpose and energy for a building with the potential to become a key creative hub within the city of Most. We look forward to your approaches, interpretations, and ideas—and to a shared discussion on how architecture can support the city’s vibrant cultural and creative life.
