Omezování nebo úplné rušení požadavku na minimální počet parkovacích míst u nových budov je globální trend. Minulý týden kalifornský guvernér nařídil místním samosprávám zrušení tzv. “parking minimums” ve čtvrtích, které jsou méně než půl míle od veřejné dopravy. Tento krok by měl snížit cenu výstavby nových budov a podpořit využívání veřejné dopravy. Očekáváme, že toto je jen začátek a jsme přesvědčení, že je to správný směr. Decreasing or eliminating parking minimums is a worldwide trend. Last week California governor prohibited local governments to require parking minimums in neighborhoods within half a mile of public transportation. This should reduce housing construction costs and boost the use of public transit which should contribute to greener cities. We are expecting that this is just the beginning and we believe it is the right path forward. It is one of the reasons why we are building Nearby, which enables efficient usage of existing parking spaces efficiently 🙂
