The most successful murals are created within the context of a community. Too often, street art festivals operate with little regard for the neighbors they affect—the residents, families, and sacred spaces that surround the work. What is framed as a “gift” can instead resemble a form of cultural imperialism, delivered by self-appointed benefactors.

In Prague this fall, however, we saw a contemporary approach applied to the portrait of a culturally significant figure, and the result felt measured, grounded, and in balance with its setting.

zahájila pondělní vernisáží výstavu, která vyústí již tuto sobotu v charitativní aukci street artových děl od českých a mezinárodních autorů. A(U)KCE CIHLA proběhne 29.11. od 13 hodin v Mramorovém sále Paláce Lucerna v rámci Velké sálové aukce galerie European Arts. Dražit se budou velkoformátové muraly od etablovaných autorů street artu. Michal Škapa, Marek Číhal, Jiří Macht, ZEB ONE, Stan Solo, Jakub Uksa, ToyBox a Yessiow, kteří tyto díla vytvořili přímo na ulici, u stánku AKCE CIHLA v centru Prahy. Kurátorem těchto výtvarných děl byl Petr Hájek - ředitel festivalu Urban Pictus.

kicked off an exhibition with a vernissage on Monday, which will culminate this Saturday in a charity auction of street art works by Czech and international artists. The A(U)KCE CIHLA (Auction Brick) will take place on November 29th at 1:00 PM in the Marble Hall of the Lucerna Palace, as part of the Great Hall Auction organized by the European Arts gallery.
Large-format murals created by established street art artists will be auctioned off. These artists include Michal Škapa, Marek Číhal, Jiří Macht, ZEB ONE, Stan Solo, Jakub Uksa, ToyBox, and Yessiow, who created these works live on the street, at the AKCE CIHLA booth in the center of Prague. The curator for these art pieces was Petr Hájek – director of the Urban Pictus festival.

💥 AKCE CIHLA Charity Project Exhibition Opening ⬇️

Please accept our invitation to the grand opening – an introduction to the works and artists of the AKCE CIHLA charitable project.

You will be introduced to the works of leading Czech artists by the project's curator, Petr Hájek (Urban Pictus). The evening will be hosted by Ondřej Cihlář, featuring a performance by the patron of AKCE CIHLA, Jaroslav Svěcený.

When: 24 / 11 / 2025 / from 6:30 PM (18:30)
Where: Pop-Up Gallery in Lucerna Passage

The exhibition of works by street art artists will run until November 28, 2025.

The proceeds from the charitable part of the auction will support the non-profit organization Portus Praha z.ú., which has been helping people with intellectual disabilities for 25 years.

Views propojuje svět graffiti a volného umění. Výstava mapuje cestu autorů, kteří začínali se sprejem v ruce a dnes posouvají své zkušenosti a vizuální jazyk za hranice ulice. Společné kořeny, respekt ke jménu a silný rukopis — Views nabízí pohledy do minulosti, současnosti i budoucnosti scény, která formovala celé generace. Není to jen výstava. Je to výpověď. Styl. Statement.

Výstava potrvá od 1. 8. do 10. 8. 2025.

Opening of the exhibition VIEWS 2.0 tomorrow at 18:00

Views connects the world of graffiti and fine art. The exhibition traces the journey of artists who started out with a spray can in hand and now push their experience and visual language beyond the streets. Shared roots, respect for the name, and a strong artistic signature — Views offers a glimpse into the past, present, and future of a scene that has shaped entire generations. This is more than just an exhibition. It's a statement. A style. A testimony.

The exhibition will run from 1 August to 10 August 2025.
