There are two of us. A restaurant somewhere in Central Europe, around 1900. Thonet chairs. A carafe. A walking stick.

The man on the left holds a cigarette with the ease of someone who has held many. The man on the right is not looking at the camera. He is not looking at his companion. He is somewhere else entirely. 🥃

Someone carried a camera into this room and decided this moment was worth keeping. We do not know why.
