Gabriela Slaninková (*1993) žije a pracuje v Praze. Studium v Ateliéru kresby u Jiřího Petrboka na pražské Akademii výtvarných umění dokončila v roce 2019. Během studia absolvovala stáž v ateliéru malby na Hochschule für Bildende Künste v Drážďanech u Christiana Macketanze.
Její tvorba se zaměřuje na figuru a každodenní situace. Přestože autorka většinou používá výrazné barvy, její malby jsou zahaleny zvláštní vnitřní melancholií. Monumentální figurální obrazy zdánlivě banálních scén často doplňuje malými formáty, o nichž mluví jako o „fiktivních výřezech“ z větších scén, v nichž zkoumá detail tváře nebo rukou, a nechává tak diváka pracovat s vlastní imaginací.

Gabriela Slaninková (*1993) lives and works in Prague. She graduated from the Drawing Studio led by Jiří Petrbok at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in 2019. During her studies, she completed an internship in the Painting Studio of Christian Macketanz at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden.
Her work focuses on the human figure and everyday situations. Although she often works with vivid colours, her paintings are permeated by a subtle inner melancholy. Alongside large-scale figurative paintings depicting seemingly ordinary scenes, she frequently presents smaller works she describes as “fictional fragments” of larger compositions. In these intimate details — often focusing on faces or hands — she leaves space for the viewer’s own imagination and interpretation.
