((a message from a human)) It’s time I wrote the official update here that the book bar is *permanently closed*. Long story short there were some insurmountable technical difficulties with the space that gave me no choice but to sell and move on. Thank you so so much for your support over the years. I wanted to make a space where all you creative people could come together and yap and drink and do artsy things. So I especially want to give a shoutout to those lovely weird people who collaborated with me and Šakal to fulfill some beautiful vision of the bar - thank you for sharing your energy & art 🖤 @zoyawasif it would not have been possible without you QUEEN - you are tuned into a very profoundly luminous wavelength, and I am grateful we believed in each other 🌝 @vinnysekyra of @femmefollies, our long running monthly burlesque show. To see your hard work pay off over the years is so inspiring - I will continue to be entranced as you continue to rise, shining star 🌟 @moruse.tattoos you made the vision come to life with the details and story in our illustrated merch & logo 🖊️ @katecz the most reliable (and hilarious) no-BS backbone, I am happy we had so many years of working behind the bar together but now I am ready to drink in front of bars with you 🥂 @nightmareshow I am obsessed with you guys forever ❤️‍🔥 some of my favorite nights, you make me buzz @nikolaemmarysava your Polednice sculpture became an iconic centerpiece, but your biggest influence was through the cocktails 🍸 you are still the better bartender 😉 & @marketa__kolarova I didn’t tell you yet but my mom took one of your paintings home with her 🖼️ your art speaks, thanks for decorating us. @finijidarkangel from quizzes to bingo and every lip sync in between, the way you infuse even the darkest room with energy & love is such a refreshing presence 🌞 @andrew_horne_cz the whole of filming RLH is one I will treasure, pity about the sequel though 📽️ @ribbonbonheur you are a true participant in life and that’s why your presence is so magnetic, the cocktails I made for you were probably the best in the whole bar 🏆 #1 customer award 🏆 & @sakalthedog 🐺 and me 👩🏻‍🦰 THE END!
