🌍 We are now an Accredited Entity of the Green Climate Fund.

This is an important milestone for us—and for the communities we work alongside around the world.

For decades, we have worked with people facing conflict, natural disasters and poverty. As climate change makes these challenges even greater, this accreditation will enable us to directly access international climate finance and scale up locally led adaptation where it is needed most.

Together with our trusted partners, we will help communities prepare for droughts, floods and other climate impacts, while ensuring they have the resources to shape their own solutions.

We are honoured to join the Green Climate Fund network of Accredited Entities and look forward to turning this opportunity into meaningful action where it can make the greatest difference.

⛰️ A paragliding paradise, breath taking mountains, and unique architecture—obscured by smoke from a burning landfill. This is the stark contrast currently troubling the North Macedonian town of Kruševo.

Lefkija and Meri from the local organisation Feel Krusevo decided they wouldn’t just stand by. They are helping their neighbours to recycle and are fighting for a cleaner environment for everyone.

Waste management is a major challenge in North Macedonia. That is why, together with local organisations and with the support of Delegation of the European Union to North Macedonia, our Team at People in Need North Macedonia are working to develop a circular economy:
♻️ Teaching schools and organisations how to reduce waste.
♻️ Supporting recycling and upcycling.
♻️ Providing financial and methodological support to local associations and organisations that are driving change from the ground up.
