Z bývalého kravína útulný domov / From Barn to Family Heartbeat

Statek nedaleko Prahy, který je v rodinném vlastnictví už po několik generací, má historii sahající až do roku 1620, kdy sem přišli předci dnešních majitelů a postavili budovu na základech, které přesně kopírují půdorys současného domu. Tento statek vzkvétal až do roku 1958, kdy dobytek zabavila komunistická strana a objekt přeměnila na sklad.
Ústředním bodem přestavby se stala prostorná kuchyně s jídelnou, která využívá prostor bývalého kravína. Tento otevřený prostor s velkým oknem, které umožňuje plné propojení interiéru se zahradou, se stal centrem rodinného života. Odtud vede přístup do obývacího pokoje a sociálního zázemí a po schodech také do druhého patra, kde jsou umístěny ložnice a dětský pokoj.
Během rekonstrukce byly odhaleny autentické prvky původní stavby: pískovcové stěny, tradiční cihly, dřevěné krovy i dřevěná vrata s kováním. V interiéru dominují přírodní odstíny, doplněné modrou barvou, která dodává prostoru živost. Právě výrazná modrá barva byla přáním majitelky kvůli jejímu silnému vztahu k Řecku, které procestovala a jež ji inspirovalo i v této přeměně venkovského sídla.
Rekonstrukce probíhala postupně, a zatímco kuchyně zůstala na svém místě, obývací prostor a ložnice byly spojeny do univerzálního pobytového prostoru, který nyní slouží také jako herna pro děti a šatna. Kravín ze 17. století se tak proměnil v moderní a útulný domov, který si zachovává jedinečnou atmosféru původního místa. Je to prostor bez limitů, kde se široká rodina setkává u jednoho stolu a společně sdílí radost ze života i chvíle s dětmi.

This farmhouse near Prague, held in family ownership for several generations, has a history dating back to 1620, when the ancestors of the current owners settled here and built a structure on foundations of the present-day house. This farmhouse thrived until 1958, when the Communist regime seized the livestock and converted the building into a storage facility.
The centerpiece of the renovation became a spacious kitchen with a dining area, occupying the former barn’s space. This open area, with a large window that fully connects the interior with the garden, has become the heart of family life. From here, there is access to the living room, bathroom facilities, and a staircase leading to the second floor, where the bedrooms and a children’s room are located.
During the reconstruction, authentic elements of the original structure were uncovered: sandstone walls, traditional brickwork, wooden beams, and original wooden doors with iron fittings. The interior is dominated by natural tones, complemented by blue accents, adding vibrancy to the space. The distinctive blue color was chosen at the owner’s request due to her close connection to Greece, which she has traveled extensively and which inspired her in transforming this rural home.
The renovation took place in stages. While the kitchen remained in its original location, the living space and bedroom were transformed into a versatile area, now serving as a playroom for children and a wardrobe. Thus, the 17th-century barn was reimagined into a modern and cozy home that preserves the unique atmosphere of its original setting. It is a boundless space where the family gathers around a big table, sharing the joy of life and cherished moments with the children.

The green apartment, formed by combining two one-bedroom units, offers comfortable modern living for a young couple after reconstruction. Green accents, along with neoclassical embellishments and glass bricks details, bring a refreshing atmosphere to the minimalist living space.
