TARO has been shortlisted for the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2025.

We’re delighted to announce that our project, TARO, has reached the final round of one of the world’s most prestigious awards — — in the Standalone Europe category. For us, this is more than just a nomination, it’s proof that our philosophy resonates and is heard on the global stage.

Being named among the world’s most captivating restaurants is already a major victory. Thank you to our team , our client , and the light-sculpture artist , as well as everyone who sees the meaning behind the design.

Design in the Details

Once the concept takes shape, it’s the details that bring a space to life — making it feel intentional, layered, and complete.

At TARO, every texture, line, and material was carefully curated in collaboration with makers who share our sense of precision and aesthetics:
– Custom lighting by artist brings softness and sculptural depth.
– Furniture by was tailor-made according to our studio’s designs.
– Chairs and flooring known for their precision and respect for material.
– The central glass installation by reflects the rhythm and layering of Vietnamese rice terraces.

In TARO, details are not secondary — they’re the voice of the space.

TARO: A Gastronomic Theater

The layout of TARO is designed as a theatrical stage, where the kitchen is the centerpiece, and guests are the audience.
• The open kitchen is set below the main level, creating an amphitheater effect.
• The bar counter encircles the kitchen, turning the cooking process into a performance.
• Lighting dramaturgy directs focus onto the stage, making every chef’s movement part of the spectacle.

The design reinforces the concept of a gastronomic theater: clean lines, tactile materials, and deep tones. The space is structured to let the energy of the kitchen flow throughout—from the rhythm of the seating arrangement to the interplay of light and shadow.

Design

Lifting the curtain on one of our current projects, now in development. Inspired by Eastern culture — its refined minimalism and harmony of natural tones and materials.

Náš projekt interiérového designu bytu v Praze ztělesňuje harmonii minimalismu a útulnosti, čímž vytváří pohodlný a moderní prostor pro život. Hlavní pozornost je věnována použití jemných přírodních odstínů, jako je terakota a olivová, které dodávají interiéru hřejivost a hloubku. Zaměřili jsme se na textury a čisté linie, což je zdůrazněno použitím přírodních materiálů, jako je dřevo a kámen. Prostorné a světlé pokoje, minimalistické tvary nábytku a prvky dekoru vytvářejí pocit lehkosti a svobody. Tento design dokonale kombinuje moderní eleganci a funkčnost, čímž podtrhuje jedinečnou atmosféru městského bytu v historickém centru.

Představujeme vám unikátní kolekci lustrů a lamp Nana Lure, které spojují realismus s fantastickou abstrakcí a přivádějí botanické ilustrace k životu. Každý kousek z této kolekce se vyznačuje charakteristickým banánovým listem, vyrobeným z litého bavlněného papíru, tvarovaným a ručně malovaným ve studiu.

Naše nejnovější kolekce «Desert Land» čerpá inspiraci z divoké přírody jižní Kalifornie. Vnitřní povrch lampy je ozdoben malovanou krajinou, zatímco vnější strana září tmavými, bohatými tóny kalifornské krajiny – sluncem spálená umbra, žlutá okr, zelená a chartreuse.

Závěsné mechanismy jsou uměleckým dílem samy o sobě, vytvořené díky složité kožené práci a ručně vyrobeným mosazným ozdobám ve spolupráci s A. Jasonem Rossem z Artemas Quibble.
