𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐄𝐌𝐀 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 💪

On May 8th, EMA’s members' assembly voted to establish a new board with several new faces joining EMA and others maintaining or switching their role in the board.

We are happy to announce that Rizwan Waheed was elected as Secretary General of EMA. Mr. Waheed is an experienced sales and management professional with many years of experience in leadership positions and developing teams. Danni Greiffendorf was elected to the extended executive board and appointed as Deputy Secretary General by Mr. Waheed. Ms. Greiffendorf has been engaged in the Ouissal project for many years, offers great experience in mentoring/coaching and aims to establish an EMA Leadership Lab.

EMA’s member’s assembly voted for Dr. Abdelmajid Layadi to take over the role as president. The former Secretary General will continue to guide EMA with his in-depth knowledge about the Euro-Mediterranean Region and his extensive network. Dr. Boris von Bieberstein joins the board as Vice President. His many years of experience in the private sector and business management will help advance EMA’s work throughout the Middle East and Europe.

EMA’s new treasurer is Jörg Weber who has extensive experience in international project management consulting as well as a background in business management with a focus on controlling. New to the Extended Executive Board is Dr. Stephan Jäger, former EMA treasurer and lawyer, who will continue to guide EMA’s work in this new role.

Prof. Dr. Jalid Sehouli joins EMA’s Extended Executive Board and is a world-renown medical professional who is the medical director of the Department of Gynecology at Charité Berlin.

We are grateful for the continued support of Dr. Kirsten Soyke, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Hartwig and Prof. Dr. Juliane Brach, who will continue their important work in EMA’s Extended Executive Board.
