Brian Close’s Brian Cl🅾️se »B. Chamber (Stratum A)« (Patience / Impatience) understands sound as a state of suspension between nature, instrument and technology – less realism than speculation. Visible Cloaks’ Visible Cloaks »Paradessence« (RVNG Intl.): glitches, silence, flowing Japanese environmental music and virtual chamber instruments, all held at the point where a boundary becomes audible. Razen & Dick van der Harst’s »Stained Glass Starling« (Kunstencentrum VIERNULVIER) brings together harmonium, serpent, erhu, kacapi and hurdy-gurdy in music without hierarchy – drones, breath and friction instead of fusion. And Whitney Johnson matchess, Lia Kohl Lia Kohl and Macie Stewart’s Macie Stewart »Body Sound« (International Anthem) gathers strings, voices, loops and bodies into a shared space and sets them resonating until it feels almost perfect.⁠
