Berliner Sport Club Rugby

Dear friends, our Xs tournament was a big success but you might have heard of an unfortunate incident that occured, so here's our statement regarding that:

As hosts of the aforementioned event, the BSC would like to acknowledge the aggrievance felt by several of the participants. We believe in inclusivity within the sport we all love. It should be the aspiration of all involved parties to learn how to handle these situations in a respectful way at the time and in the aftermath.
Prior to the publishing of the article in the Tagesspiegel, the BSC had in fact reached out to the Berlin Bruisers and the author of the article in an attempt to discuss the matter, with said discussions currently ongoing.

We want to go forward and ensure that rugby continues to be a sport for all those that wish to participate.

Als Gastgeber der Berlin Xs will BSC-Rugby die in einem Artikel des Tagesspiegels veröffentlichten Vorfälle nicht unkommentiert lassen und die daraus entstandene Belastung für alle Beteiligten anerkennen. Wir glauben an ein inklusives Miteinander in der Sportart, die wir alle lieben.

Vor der Veröffentlichung des Artikels hat BSC-Rugby sowohl mit den Bruisers als auch mit der Autorin des Artikels den Kontakt gesucht, um die Vorfälle weiter aufzuklären und aufzuarbeiten, dieser Prozess ist weiterhin im Gange.

Für die Zukunft wünschen wir uns, konstruktiv darauf hin zu arbeiten, dass unser Rugby ein Sport bleibt, an dem alle teilhaben können!

In der Regionalliga Nordost morgen, 15.10.2022 um 15:00 Uhr trifft der mächtige BSC auf die SG Siemensstadt/Bruisers, und zwar auf dem Platz der Oranienburg Raptors, Sportplatz am Schloss, Parkstraße 1, 16515 Oranienburg.

Gutes Rugby, ein Schloss, was will man mehr!

if you're looking for something nice and useful to do tomorrow, come and support our mens team in the league game against SG Siemensstadt/Bruisers which for reasons unknown to me takes place in Oranienburg, Sportplatz am Schloss, Parkstraße 1, 16515 Oranienburg.

A good game of Rugby, a castle, what more could you ask for?
