NEXT WEEK - Upcycling workshop by Cindie Popper
Second edition if our cycle “Tools for autonomy”

Using materials from the trash, this workshop proposes the creation of outfits that can be used artistically and for performances as well as for fashion.
So more work and less store, as a way to promote a more environmentally friendly lifestyle and also a way to promote the handmade and unique, contrary to industrialization and homogeneity. DIY resistance to emancipate a little more from capitalism.
The material chosen will be pantyhose and it is not random, it is a material widely used for artistic expressions such as dance, an artistic expression at the time very elitist and perfectionist. Just as it was also a characteristic element of the punk culture of the 80s, the torn socks as a form of expression to rebel against the system.

When:
Tuesday 10/12 from 5pm to 9pm.
Where:
Interflugs - Universität der Künste Berlin.
Room 34c, Hardenbergstrasse 33, 10623 Berlin.
Language: English

Together with Maryna Makarenko we are offering a series of 7 sessions, each 3 hours long, designed to explore various somatic practices for emotional regulation.

Our exploration will include intuitive voice work and gentle somatic practices, approached in a slow and conscious manner. We will dive into various breathing techniques, active meditation, deep listening scores, intuitive yoga practice and playful mindful movement.

We prioritize participants who are marginalized or/ and experience oppression based on (or assumptions about) their gender identity, race, ethnicity, disability, class, religion, sexual orientation or through other forms of discrimination. There is a limited capacity for participation and the waiting list will be offered. The workshop is open to everyone and is free of charge.

To register, please click on the linktree in our bio and fill out the google form. We will contact you a couple of day before the workshop if you got selected via email.
