Mannequin Records is proud to present Electronic Corporation 1998–2006, a compilation of rare and long unavailable recordings by the German electronic projects heimelektronik and MAS 2008.

Active around the turn of the millennium, both projects revolve around producer Ive Müller, moving through electro, minimal electronics and machine-driven body music with a raw, stripped-down approach. H.E.I.M. Elektronik, founded in 1996 with Holger Erlenwein, and MAS 2008, Müller’s collaboration with René Kirchner, developed in parallel — distinct but deeply connected through a shared language of analog sequences, cold structures and DIY production.

Müller’s roots trace back to the final years of the DDR, where he worked as a licensed DJ — a “Schallplattenunterhalter” — running a travelling disco across Saxony. With limited access to Western records, music circulated through taped radio broadcasts (RIAS Berlin, NDR2, Bayern3), forming a generation shaped by scarcity, ingenuity and obsession. Together with friends, he operated a “rolling discotheque”: a Wolga pulling a trailer packed with Electro-Voice sound systems sourced through the black market.

Compiled and remastered by Rude 66 from the original sources, Electronic Corporation 1998–2006 documents a lost fragment of German underground electronic culture.

For fans of Le Syndicat Electronique, I-F, Dopplereffekt, Drexciya, Legowelt, ADULT., The Hacker, DMX Krew, Gesloten Cirkel, early Bunker Records.

9 November 1989 – The Berlin Wall fell.
What came next was chaos, freedom, and a new underground.

Among the first to occupy the wastelands around Görlitzer Bahnhof were the Mutoid Waste Company — welding tanks, scrap and fighter jets into living sculptures that faced the ruins of the Wall.
Their sound was acid, metal, and noise.

In 2019 we released MNQ 128 – Steffe Lewry – “Mutate”, recorded in 1990 when Lewry was living with the Mutoids in Berlin.
Three mutant transmissions later featured in the film How The Mutoids Brought Down The Berlin Wall.

Revisit it today — the sound of a city reborn from wreckage.
