The Funky Strut

Shaking it for the glory of the Funk!

“The Funky Strut” is a party series designed to give the empowering concept of an interactive dancing line, known from so many streets, fields and “Soul Train”, another try to change your night. Worshipping the african syncopic and polyrhythmic influenced genres from around the globe and various times, we organize concerts and get Dj´s to make you shake it too.

The idea for The Funky Strut came up around autumn 2017 and is yet a new highlight of a long grown cooperation of Kojoe Amaté and KremeDj, two friends from school, that started organising the Funknatic Friday parties in 2006 as the Funknatic Soundz crew.

Our home base is the Hangar49 on the banks of the Spree and underneath the S-Bahn.

From the beginning on The Funky Strut was supported by our brothers in groove of the Beat Kollektiv and Sessé Percussion and on November the 16th it will be the third time that Arkadiusz is with us giving this project the final touch by designing our promotion, being the showmaster of the parties, documenting them and mastering the bar.
