Vibe coding has arrived in the Progress OpenEdge world.

In my latest YouTube video I show how I combine three tools to build real ABL code without writing it myself:

→ Wispr Flow — to dictate requirements into a ticket the way I actually think (messy, evolving, mid-sentence pivots from "days between two dates" to "Easter per Gregorian calendar rules") → Cloud Cowork — to turn that rambling dictation into a structured ticket → Claude Code — to implement it, and in the second half of the demo, to redesign an existing Progress AppBuilder program while keeping the AppBuilder markup intact

Since the beginning of 2026, roughly 99% of the code I've shipped has been written by AI. And even though I consider myself a fairly strong ABL developer, the quality of what goes into production has noticeably gone up — not down.

If you want to talk about using Claude Code or other AI agents in your OpenEdge stack, drop a comment on the video or message me directly.

👏 Thank you to everyone who has participated so far — every post, repost, and comment helps keep the conversation going.

There is still plenty of time to participate before the campaign ends on July 31st, and the ranking can still change significantly over the coming weeks.

A reminder of how to earn points:
• Original posts tagged with the official PUG Challenge page → 3 points
• “Repost with your thoughts” → 2 points

As a reminder: in case of a tie, meaningful interaction and community engagement will make the difference.
