A strong season so far. And TENTE is with her every step of the way

Marike Steinacker’s season so far shows one thing clearly: she is in great form.

At her competitions in Germany, the discus thrower made it onto the podium four times – twice taking first place. Even more impressively, she confirmed the qualifying standard for this year’s European Championships in Birmingham at each of these events.

Marike has also gained valuable experience on the international stage. At the Diamond League meeting in Rabat, she finished in the top ten, followed by a strong fifth place in Stockholm.

“International competitions like these are great fun and provide valuable experience. But they also come at a cost, especially when you do not make it through to the final. In moments like these, the support from TENTE helps me not only financially, but above all mentally. It allows me to focus more freely on my performance.”

Whether on her kit, on the road or in training, TENTE is accompanying Marike throughout the season as a partner by her side.

“On all my trips to competitions, TENTE travels with me. Whether it is the TENTE castors under my suitcase, my TENTE towel that I stretch on, or the TENTE logo on my kit – I am well equipped for the next competition.”

Two decades of meaningful exchange

We were delighted to welcome eleven students from Ryle High School in Kentucky, USA, to TENTE in Wermelskirchen again this year.

The visit offered plenty of opportunities to get to know our company and each other. After a warm welcome, three of our commercial apprentices introduced TENTE before taking our guests on a tour of the campus and production facilities. The day ended with pizza, open conversations and a lively exchange.

The student exchange between Ryle High School and Gymnasium Wermelskirchen was initiated in 2006 by our long-standing Managing Director Peter Fricke and continues to be supported by the TENTE Foundation. Over the years, it has become a valued tradition.

Its purpose remains just as important today as it was at the beginning: to spark cultural curiosity, strengthen mutual understanding and help friendships grow across borders.

Thank you to everyone involved for making this day so special. We look forward to many more years of this valuable partnership.

TENTE joined the company run in Wermelskirchen with 59 finishers – making us the second-largest team at the event. Another highlight: the award for best outfit also went to TENTE, thanks to Daniela Spear, who completed the course dressed as a cat.

A great evening full of team spirit, motivation and plenty of fun – despite the challenging Bergisch climbs. Thank you to everyone who took part!
