I presented two interconnected projects. The first was the “ CULTURES UNITED IN DESIGN “ project, featuring only two houses due to limited space. One of the houses was dedicated to Lebanon. Following that, I presented a branding project, “ THE ABODE OF PEACE, “ for Zahle, a city in Lebanon known for its natural beauty and referred to as "the Bride of the Bekaa" and "the Valley's Neighbor." The project aims to promote Zahle's culture, customs, traditions, and tourist attractions through a new identity highlighting its unique character through colors. It uses white to symbolize peace, blue to represent purity, and black to signify strength and confidence. These elements together capture the essence of Zahle and showcase its beauty to the world, making it a must-see destination.

CULTURES UNITED IN DESIGN
EXPLORE CULTURAL FACETTES UNITED THROUGH DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE

As a German-born Lebanese who now resides in Germany, I‘ve struggled to fully acclimate to either culture due to their vast differences. I‘m not alone in facing this common predicament, Regrettably, this is a common issue faced by many today, who, despite the opportunity to explore the world, remain unfamiliar with other cultures. Architecture is a powerful and effective tool to bridge this gap. My project seeks to foster cultural awareness, mutual curiosity and promote cross-cultural understanding.

Initially, I would like to briefly overview my project idea.
The concept involves an incomplete building that is currently being built (UNDER CONSTRUCTION) and is projected to have between six to eight floors. The first floor has reached approximately 80% completion and is unique as it houses four distinct countries. I deliberately selected these countries for specific and deliberate reasons.
This concept is not limited to what has been presented thus far. In fact, it is just the beginning. The first step involves introducing the four countries and providing some hints about each of them to help people understand what they represent. Then, individuals can share their thoughts and preferences on which country they would like to see in the building and why, if there is a particular reason. I will then evaluate the opinions of others and decide which country will be included in the building. Moving forward, I will focus on completing the building in the near future.
