A big thank you to my dear friend from Germany. Last weekend I got a hand signed book at the book launch. In my opinion Max is THE torchbearer for the movement here in Germany. Max's new book is a pure work of art making the complex simple. Max is a great storyteller and the daily chapters are easy to follow. In case you read German it's a must read. Max and I both live in Munich and we met many times at events here in Munich mainly at the hosted by and .richter.heilpraktiker To me the Munich scene has been been deeply formative in my professional life too. Munich is turning out to be the hotspot for in Germany with a lot of great events taking place. Max launched his new book here in Munich last weekend and it was a meeting of the finest minds in the European and medicine scene. ⁣

Andreas from recently offered his very first "in lab" training for a new generation of biohackers that will be able to use the equipment in his lab to improve the life of professionls pursuing better health and higher performance. Am super stoked Andreas how you are turning the lab into a learning center!⁣

So Dr. Jeffrey Bland just released a video in which he goes all in to encourage everyone in the world, lay people and medical practitioners alike, to look deeper into a functional medicine model because of the great challenges that western allopathic medicine has in dealing with alone. The future lies in "both and" not "either or".

It's a speech full of incredibly inspiring science based storytelling. Dr. Bland starts at the beginning how himself and a couple of other docs and scientists (in the early 80's) discovered how mitochondrial dysfunction really lies at the heart of chronic fatigue symptoms.

As well he clearly points out what the core technologies of functional medicine can do to rejuvenate our immune systems and this body of knowledge, which is inherent to functional medicine, could ease immense suffering from patients with post infection sumptoms.

I was very touched by this speech. It's honest, it's bold, and it's courageous to be so direct in what functional medicine can do.
