A powerful V8 like sound in an electric vehicle?
It may seem counterintuitive at first, but as it turns out - it's surprisingly great fun!

For a convincing effect, replicating the combustion engine behaviour is just as important as the actual sound.

Here is how we pre-process the input signals for our V8 synthesizer using the Expression System for Audio Weaver:

1. Calculate a virtual rpm parameter from the electric vehicle's speed - add a touch of randomness.
2. Implement virtual gear shifts. Make use of if/else statements to scale the rpm signal.
3. Add dynamic burbling. It's easiest to trigger the burbling sound with every down shift.
