You might read this and think "woahhhh, how can I be this type of parent, all of the time?"

You’re human, you’re learning, parenting is full of trial and error- you do your best especially when you're running on little sleep.

Start slow, parents.
Each time you interact with your baby you have an opportunity to practice R I A A (respect, intentionality, attunement and autonomy).

It is important to remember that you can't be perfect at all times; research suggests that even in healthy relationships, attuned connections occur about 30% of the time, emphasising that effort and repair is equally as important.
