IO Podcast Series Episode 070, mixed by
-
In this episode of our podcast series, we welcome Cynthia Matisse. Hailing from Weimar, she is deeply rooted in electronic music subculture, collecting vinyl across all genres and switching effortlessly between techno, house, DnB, bass and dubstep.
When asked about her inspiration and the thought process behind the mix, she answered:
„This mix explores a progressive take on deep drum and bass with techno influences, creating a hypnotic and atmospheric style. The sound reflects my diverse approach to DJing, sitting at the intersection of Techno, DnB, Progressive, and Psytrance — where trippy textures meet hypnotic, tribal, and immersive rhythms. Strongly focused on storytelling, the mix unfolds with a dark and mystical, sometimes dramatic character. It aims to create a strong sense of depth while also embracing my weakness for melancholy.“
We’re excited to have her on the podcast and can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.

Our 69th podcast episode has landed, and we’re really happy to share it with you. This time we’re presenting a live set by Natasha Moreno ( ), an artist whose music draws you into an intimate, emotional and deeply immersive space.
Within this episode we share a live performance by Natasha Moreno, a sound artist based in Vienna. Within her work she bridges science, mysticism and emotion through modular synthesis. Her sound weaves together form and color into a fragile yet coherent universe. It’s inspired by microtonality, crystalline symmetry and processes of self formation and self destruction.
In this live set, Natasha creates melancholic, textured soundscapes that invites for deep listening and introspection. More than a musical experience, it is an encounter with oneself, embracing both discomfort and beauty, vulnerability and strength. Through layers of repetition, resonance and subtle transformation, the performance unfolds as an intimate meditation on memory, connection and self awareness. It’s a listening experience that pulls you in gently, stays close, and leaves a quiet resonance that continues to unfold in your mind.

Dear friends!
We’re excited to spotlight IO family member with a new entry in our Log-Series.
To accompany the release of his upcoming eight-track album Tumble, he delivers a mix that reflects the album’s core themes: embracing disorientation, turning every stumble into momentum, and channeling it all into raw dancefloor energy.
In this logbook entry, Tenzia showcases his own sonic vision alongside tracks produced by other IO artists. The mix reflects his characteristic balance of fluid arrangements and steady, propulsive groove, rooted in the club-forward identity of our collective.
This Log-Series edition offers a deeper glimpse into the world of Tumble and the creative dialogue within the IO family.

New Podcast Epsiode out! 🥳🥳
For our 47th episode we want to share a Recording of almost 2hrs of wonderful Live Set by .
Stagnat is an electronic audio-visual project formed by two slovenian artists based in Vienna. Emerging from a shared desire to merge musical and visual expression, their work channels a raw, experimental energy. Their sound oscillates between dark techno textures and the unpredictable noise of the everyday: the rumble of a passing train, the dissonant chatter of birds, the pale light of a gray morning filled with restless nostalgia.
Since their debut as an improvised live act at Festival Izvir in 2019, Stagnat have evolved toward a more cohesive yet instinctive performance style, developing a distinct sonic identity. Their creative journey has unfolded through a series of self-releases and collaborations, later through their own label, DE/FRAGMENT (.sound ). ✨
In this episode, we dive into Synthetic Oases. A hypnotic exploration of the fragile sanctuaries and structures we create to feel secure. These digital mirages promise connection while quietly distorting the world around us. As the first notes unfold, the illusion fractures, exposing the quiet truth that everything is transient. From there, the set emerges as a meditation on tension and release, defiance and surrender. Both harsh and tender, Synthetic Oases moves like a pulse between chaos and calm, guiding us toward the haunting beauty that lingers at the brink of collapse.

In anticipation of the next release, which is produced by our dear , he recorded a mix for the Log series in which he included the tracks of this upcoming collection of gems. With each release we’ll put out from now on, we’re heading into a new more adventurous direction away from pure deep techno / ambient side to a bigger mix of all influences which shaped us and lead us to new innovative places as artists.
Dycide takes the first step in this journey with this stunning mix, featuring only his own productions and some on which he collaborated with our members. It is almost unbelievable how big his oeuvre in the realm of drum and bass already is, given that he focussed on Techno for so long. A true come back to the roots which we welcome strongly!
If you know Dycide’s discography well, you might already guess which tracks will be included on the next release ;)
