I recently switched to a new clay body and as painful as it was to readjust the way I had been doing everything the last 6 years 🫩 I’m grateful for the ability to use glazes in a way that I wasn’t able to before! This pink glaze was sooo finicky in the past and now it’s so fun and easy to use (,:

Lots of new faces here (I’m glad yall liked the resolution punch cards!) so I figured I’d re-introduce myself
Hi! I’m Cristina, I’m a ceramic artist + illustrator based in Austin, TX. My first love is illustration so when I got laid off my job as a graphic designer I jumped at the opportunity to incorporate illustration into a medium that didn’t require staring at yet another screen. I’m originally from CDMX which has definitely influenced my love for bright and cheerful colors.I love exploring motifs around queerness, joy, encouragement during these wiiiild times, and the world around me. I have a cat named Newton and a dog named Fig. Ceramics takes up 90% of my time but I spend the other 10% rock climbing, sinking karaoke, drinking whiskey cokes with my pals, or playing the bass (:
Thank you guys for being here I’m excited to bring to life a ton of new ideas for 2026. Cheers!
