Re:search - Comparing, critiquing and contemplating search results, an afternoon workshop (12-
15). Saturday at DOKK1 in Aarhus – a few spots still available for tomorrow!

PRACTICAL INFORMATION:
For the workshop, come with keywords, prompts, and most importantly – bring your laptop!
Additionally, the workshop will take place in Undervisningslokale 1, which can be found on the
right, between the main entrance and the café. There are still a few available spots, so please sign

Re:search - Comparing, critiquing and contemplating search results, an afternoon workshop at

Within our contemporary, information-driven society, the practice of using search engines like
Google has become so ubiquitous that it's hard to even imagine daily life without it. Searching is
enabled by very tangible infrastructure(s), which often appear invisible yet their physical properties
and particular dynamics raise not only environmental issues, but also issues regarding the specific
knowledge infrastructure(s) that undergird and affect the ways in which search is performed.

SHAPE Postdoc Renée Ridgway, together with Code&Share[ ] and artist/programmer Anders Visti,
will launch a hybrid interface/website for search knowledge production that helps participants
visualise, compare and interpret their search results from diverse browsers/engines/chatbots.
