Overtone

We have been shortlisted for this year’s CCA → Type Design for DR – Danmarks Radio.

Since 2019, we have been working on DR’s bespoke type family, DR Publik.
Rounded is the newest extension of the superfamily. It moves from elegant and refined in the lighter weights to softer, fuller, and more playful in the heaviest. 

Thanks to DR for the trust and for a great collaboration — we look forward to following it through to the grand final!

Although Kunsthal Spritten is currently being developed in the almost 100-year-old distillery in Aalborg, it is already making its mark on the Danish art scene.
We have updated the visual identity to reflect Kunsthal Spritten’s new focus as a center for experimental contemporary art. The revitalised identity features a refreshed logo, new typeface, and brand colour inspired by the site’s archaeological tones, alongside streamlined layout principles. However, strong references to the former distillery known as Spritten and the city’s history remain: the logotype, drawn from the old distillery’s rooftop lettering, is unchanged, but its application is now used more subtly as a distinctive identity marker.
