🎓 Aarhus University – yellow bricks, sheep stories & Nobel vibes 🇩🇰
100 years ago: 78 students in a rented room.
Today: 40,000+ students, lakeside campus, and a building style so aesthetic it could have its own Instagram.
💛 AU is not just lectures and deadlines. It's a park full of oak trees, an amphitheatre in the grass, and once upon a time... sheep mowing the lawn (yes, really). 🐑
✨ Lately AU has been voted the Best Erasmus Destination. The university is still expanding – basically turning downtown Aarhus into one big campus (with hygge, of course).
If you have been studying here you know it IS one of the most beautiful campuses in the world. If you come to Aarhus as a tourist, make sure you’ll come for a scenic walk through academia’s coziest park.

🎨 Experience the Women's Modern Breakthrough at Randers Kunstmuseum 🎨
Today we have an idea for a trip to Randers, a beautiful town north of Aarhus.
Only for the next 10 days at Randers Kunstmuseum you have a chance to discover the powerful exhibition "Kvindernes moderne gennembrud – Dansk kunst 1880–1910" This groundbreaking showcase features works by 25 pioneering Danish female artists who challenged societal norms and left an indelible mark on the art scene during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
🖼️ Highlights include:
Intimate interiors by Anna Ancher
Mythological compositions by Agnes Slott-Møller
Portraits by Bertha Wegmann
Realistic depictions of human relationships by Emilie Mundt and Marie Luplau
These artists not only contributed significantly to Danish art but also advocated for broader societal changes, including women's rights and access to education.
📍 Visit Randers Kunstmuseum at Stemannsgade 2, 8900 Randers. The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM, with extended hours until 8 PM on the last Wednesday of each month.
Don't miss this opportunity to explore the rich legacy of Denmark's female artists. We are amazed by their paintings and their courage to fight for themselves. For more information, visit: randerskunstmuseum.dk/kvindernes-moderne-gennembrud

If you have biked/walked along ARoS recently, you have noticed the upper entrance is closed again. The final stages of the huge project THE NEXT LEVEL have just started with building a new park there. While we are waiting for the premiere of THE DOME, a Skyspace by James Turrell do not overlook the great exhibition NO COMMENT by Barbara Kruger. The exhibition shows her works from the last 40 years, but they all look/sound very contemporary. The exhibition is on until 21 April. Absolute must-see!

With a little bit of sunshine explore Sydhavnen and Kulbroen which are close to the railway station. A new office quarter is popping up there, but apart from the business life the place will attract the local and international tourists. The old coal bridge is going to be transformed into a modern walkway with panorama platforms and views of the neighborhood. You can already explore it and see the development of the seaside quarter 😎 Read more in the links in the comments.
