Community organisers resisting EACOP in Uganda and Tanzania have called for an escalation – an internationalisation of resistance that brings the weight of the global movement together to apply coordinated pressure on the companies behind destructive projects like these, as well as the financial institutions that fund and insure them. The StopEACOP Coalition is inviting global struggles to join a Global Week of Action from 23 – 30 May 2026.
