MATLAB/Simulink offers the whole package for every engineer. We told you so! LOL.
In this video from Hans Prasetya, a robot arm was designed in SolidWorks and manipulated by PID controller from Simulink using some of its libraries.
Simulations are a crucial part of every research and development. Since they offer flexibility and the best coverage as the most extreme test scenarios can be conducted with zero cost.
On top of that, if you want to increase the fidelity of the test and verify your implemented control algorithm, you can do that! MATLAB/Simulink offers Processor-In-the-Loop (PIL) and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) simulations. In other words, if you want to verify the program you implemented on an Arduino, an STM, a PIC, an FPGA... etc. before you potentially destroy your experimental setup, YOU CAN! And that's done easily with MATLAB.
Obviously, this is a fairly advanced engineering tool. But not to worry, in our upcoming training, we will teach you the basics of MATLAB and Simulink and help you incorporate these tools into your workflow.
