Looking at the EU’s Annual Budget for 2027, one message stands out clearly:

A significant share of the €200 billion budget is allocated to resilience, social cohesion, environmental sustainability, digital transformation, and innovation.

In particular, the categories "Cohesion, Resilience and Values" and "Single Market, Innovation and Digital" demonstrate that Europe is building its future not only through economic growth, but also through skills development, digital competences, education, and societal resilience.

For organizations working in education, this budget sends a strong signal. Strengthening teachers’ digital skills, integrating artificial intelligence into education, promoting inclusive learning environments, and supporting lifelong learning are likely to remain at the heart of European priorities in the years ahead.

At Teachers Education Academy, these are precisely the areas we focus on through our international projects: digital education, AI literacy, teacher professional development, and innovative learning approaches.

The 2027 budget once again confirms that Europe continues to view human capital and education as strategic investments for a sustainable and competitive future.
