In the Master's programme "Digital State Data and Technologies", lecturer Jaak Kapten introduces students to "Foundations of Data Science in the Public Sector" (ITE6141).

In the Master's programme "Digital State Data and Technologies", lecturer Markko Liutkevičius introduces students to the course "Applying Artificial Intelligence in the Public Sector" 🤖

The course provides a comprehensive overview of the opportunities, challenges, and practical applications of AI in government and public administration. Students explore how AI can be used to improve public services, support data-driven decision-making, enhance analytical capabilities, and strengthen security and data protection.

Through real-world examples and case studies from the public sector, participants gain a deeper understanding of how AI is being implemented today and what is needed for responsible adoption in the future.

By the end of the course, students will be able to:

• Evaluate the opportunities and risks associated with AI deployment

• Understand the unique requirements and constraints of the public sector
