IVA System is looking for a Mid-Senior Software Engineer to join our Development Team to help design and build core systems for our products and services.

-Main Responsibilities:
Analyze the requirements and contribute to estimating the development efforts.
Contribute to designing feasible implementations to apply the required specifications.
Assure all the developed use cases are functional as expected using unit testing.
Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

-Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
+3 years of software development experience.
Working experience with PHP Laravel, Node.js, and Express.js.
Solid knowledge of JavaScript &object-oriented design principles.
Strong knowledge & practical experience with design patterns.
Excellent understanding of structured database design concepts and practices.
Must be competent with Git and Github (including rebasing, resolving merge conflicts).
Experience with Continuous Integration systems.
Excellent problem solving and research skills.

We are hiring a Lead Software Engineer to be part of our agile development team, building and working on software systems, and also providing technical and team leadership through coaching and mentorship.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing expert knowledge in multiple areas: backend technologies, frontend technologies, performance, testing, and deployment.
- Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery.
- Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
- Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
- Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates, and work plans.
- Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
- Package and support deployment of releases.
- Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
- Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.
- Providing expert analysis and comparisons among different technologies to help make informed decisions.
-Identify and introduce ways and tools to improve the development process.
-Giving constructive feedback to every team member to make sure they are aware of their positives and room for improvement.
-Improving team technical competence through knowledge sharing, mentoring, shadowing, etc.

Desired Skills & Experience:
-5+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer
-Prior experience in a technical leadership position
-College or University degree in Faculty of Engineering or a related discipline

Core Competency Requirements:
-Extensive experience in designing and developing software systems
-Excellent understanding of structured database design concepts and practices
Experience with automated testing, debugging, performance profiling, and optimization
-Must be competent with Git and Github (including rebasing, resolving merge conflicts)
-Experience in the current technology stack including PHP Laravel, Node.js, Express.js, React Native, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.

Miss being in the office? 🤗We feel the same too, but we don't let that stop our bonding and taking care of each other. The past few months have been rough for everyone.
