من حالات الامساك المزمن العنيدة في التعامل معاها بتغيير للنظام الغذائي او نمط الحياة بالتمارين هو الfunctional constipation واحد من المشاكل الي العلاج الطبيعي لاسفل الحوض ليه دور كبير جدا فالتعامل معاها

كمان اتكلمت علي ضرورة التمييز بين الاسباب المختلفة للامساك ونتاكد انه functional obstruction مش في مشكلة structural masked بالhypertonicity للي ممكن تصاحبه علي سبيل المثال ودا بيتحقق من خلال thourgh pelvic and re**al examination
و كمان اختبار للcapacity of pelvic floor and pubire**alis to relax on demand as well as assesing defecation synergy
