WHY I CREATED MY TALK SHOW — MY STORY [LTD Bulbul]
In 2020, during my music tour to Juba, I decided to take my songs to different radio stations because I believed my music deserved to be heard by my people.
My first stop was Radio One. They welcomed me, and I introduced myself to the presenter on duty. I sent him my music folder. After listening briefly, he asked:
“Which language do you use most in your songs?”
I proudly replied, “I sing in Nuer.”
He went silent for a moment and then said:
“Sorry, we cannot play them here.”
I asked him why.
He told me it was because I use the Nuer language too much and that I “might be singing politics.” I explained that I only sing love songs, but he still refused.
So I asked him again:
“What is wrong with me singing in Nuer? You play Alijoma every day, and he sings in Dinka.”
He simply replied, “I am busy, bye,” and that was the end.
I walked out with no choice.
My next stop was Eye Radio, one of the biggest stations in Juba. I met one of the well-known female presenters and asked her for a chance to premiere my song. She said:
“Sorry, we cannot give you a chance because you are not famous.”
I calmly replied:
“Okay. But please tell me — which radio can I go to so that I become famous?”
She answered:
“That is for you to find out.”
I left that studio and went home quietly. That day, I sat down and asked myself what to do next.
I shared everything with my cousin, Tvavy De Table (Nyabuony Tut Joak), one of the most respected artists in the country. She told me:
“Bulbul, don’t worry. I will do something.”
And she did.
From 2020 to 2021, Tvavy used her connections to push my music. Then in 2022, she took a bold step and connected me with Pretty Joyce, a strong, well-connected woman working with W***y Entertainment, one of South Sudan’s biggest entertainment companies.
Nyabuony spoke to her management, and soon I became managed by Pretty Joyce. At that time, I was preparing to release my single “You Are a Queen.” Joyce agreed to work with me.
She brought in her team — Legit Family, Legit Boy, and Sam Dee (my current manager) — to support me fully. Together, we began premiering Queen across radio stations, including Radio One and Eye Radio — the same places that rejected me. But this time, the doors opened easily because the team had real connections.
To this day, I remain deeply grateful to Legit Family, Tvavy De Table, Pretty Joyce, and everyone who stood beside me. One day, you will all receive your flowers for believing in me.
But through this journey, I realized something bigger:
There are many artists suffering more than I did. They work hard, but their music never gets a chance simply because they sing in Nuer.
And that is not fair.
That is why I am building The Hon. G*t Dojiok Talk Show.
This platform is not just for me — it is for all of us. I went through these challenges even though I was already a known person. But what about those who are not known at all?
I feel your pain.
I am building this platform to make things right… to give every voice a chance… to lift our culture… and to open doors that were once closed.
This show is for the people.
For the artists.
For the future.
Signed,
President of Nuer Artists Union, South Sudan — Juba

To the Bentiu community, especially our respected stakeholders and leaders:
David Manyang is not just an artist — he is a father, a brother, and a true son of Liech [USB] who has poured his soul into preaching peace and reconciliation through his music. His voice has healed wounds, his songs have united us, and his message has carried hope to places where hope was fading.
Today, it breaks our hearts to see this same man fighting for his health in silence, without the support he so deeply deserves. A pillar of our community should not stand alone in his moment of weakness.
Let us open our hearts, let us rise as one people, and let us stand beside David Manyang the same way he has always stood for us. His battle should be our battle. His pain should call us to action. His life is worth every effort we can give.
