The Royal Order of Adjectives:

1) Opinion:
An opinion adjective explains what you think about something (other people may not agree with you).
Examples: silly, beautiful, horrible, difficult

2) Size:
A size adjective, of course, tells you how big or small something is. Examples: large, tiny, enormous, little...etc.

3) Age:
An age adjective tells you how young or old something or someone is.
Examples: ancient, new, young, old

4) Shape:
A shape adjective describes the shape of something.
Examples: square, round, flat, rectangular

5) Colour:
A colour adjective, of course, describes the colour of something. Examples: blue, pink, reddish, grey

6) Origin:
An origin adjective describes where something comes from. Examples: French, lunar, American, eastern, Greek

7) Material:
A material adjective describes what something is made from. Examples: wooden, metal, cotton, paper

8)) Purpose:
A purpose adjective describes what something is used for. These adjectives often end with "-ing".
Examples: sleeping (as in "sleeping bag"), roasting (as in "roasting tin")

وفي هذا المنشور الثامن سنعرض مجموعة (وَقَفَ). وهذا فعل أخر تتعدد ترجماته بتعدد معانيه في النص المراد ترجمته.
1) توقف العمل بالدستور مؤقتًا مدة سنةٍ كاملة.

2) توقف العمل بهذا العرف بدءًا بعام 1980
2) This practice has ceased since 1980.
3) قف على قدميك وأمسك لسانك ولا تتحرك.

4) قَقْ وأعطِ الأولوية للأخرين. (إشارة توضع للسائقين).
4) Stop! Give way!
5) وقف الرجل حجر عثرةٍ في طريقي.

6) عرقلت القواتُ تقدمَ القوة الغازية.
6) The progress of the invasion force was impeded by the troops.
7) ستؤدي ندرة الموارد إلى إعاقة الاقتصاد.

9) يتوقف الأمر برمته على قرار المفتش/كان الأمر برمته رهنًا (مرهونًا) بقرار المفتش.
9) The whole matter is now dependent on (contingent on) the inspector’s decision.
10) لم يعجبني موقفه من القضية.
10) I did not like his attitude toward the case.
11) علينا أن نتخذَ موقفًا حازمًا إزاء تدهور الأوضاع الأمنية.
11) We should take a firm position vis-à-vis the deteriorated situation in security.
12) إنها لم تحرك ساكنًا لمساعدة زميلتها (أي وقفت مكتوفة الأيدي).
12) She did not lift a finger to help her friend.
13) أُوقِفَ المتهمُ ثم اتهموه بالخيانة العظمى.
13) The suspect was apprehended then charged with high treason.
14) يعتزم طرفا الصراع تشكيل لجنة لتقصى الحقائق للوقوف على أحداث العنف الأخيرة وكيفية الحد من تكرارها.
14) The two disputing parties intend to (plan to) forge a fact-finding committee on the recent bout of violence and how to prevent its recurrence.
15) ماذا لو توقفَ المااء عن التدفق من صنابير المياه، وتوقفت الإشارات الضوئية عن العمل.
15) What if water ceased from flowing from taps and traffic lights failed?
16) تتضمن المسرحية أربعة فصول تُمَثِّلُ تباعدًا دون توقف.
16) The play has/contains four scenes performed without pause.
17) توقفَ لثوانٍ معدودة ثم تابع خطابه.
17) He paused for a few seconds then continued his speech.
18) أقال الرئيس رئيس الوزراء آملًا أن يؤدي ذلك إلى وقف نمو المد السوفيتي ولتحسين علاقاته مع الباكستان.
18) Hoping to halt the growth of the Soviet influence and to improve relations with Pakistan, the president removed the prime minister.
19) إنَّه في موقف لا يحسد عليه.
19) He is in an unenviable situation.
20) غادر الرئيس الأمريكي إلى منطقة الشرق الأوسط في رحلة تشتمل على ثلاث دول.

وهكذا نجدُ أنَّ الفعل (وَقَفَ) بتصاريفه المختلفة ومشتقاته قد تغير من جملة إلى جملة ومن سياق إلى سياق بتغير معناه في الجملة. فالعربية بحر لا ينضب من المترادفات والمتواردات التي لا حصر لها ولا عد.

There're many types of essays including Opinion Essays.
How to write an opinion essay?

Instructions to follow
• If you are given an opinion essay, you have to pick sides.
• You can either agree or disagree with the statement in the question.
• Once you pick a side, you can start planning your essay and then writing it.

An opinion essay should have:
• Introduction
• 2 or 3 Body Paragraphs
• Conclusion

● Introduction
• Your introduction paragraph should paraphrase your question. Use synonyms for the words used in the question.
• A thesis statement: This statement should clearly state your opinion (i.e) whether you agree or disagree with the statement.

● Body Paragraph 1

Your body paragraph should revolve around:
1) A central idea
2) Supporting points
3) Example (Optional)

1) A central idea: The paragraph should revolve around this idea.
2) Supporting points: Added points that support your central idea.
3) Example: Examples from your real-life experiences that support the supporting idea. They are optional.

b) Body Paragraph 2
B.1) A central idea: The paragraph should revolve around this idea.
B.2) Supporting points: Added points that support your central idea.
B.3) Example: Examples from your real-life experiences that support the supporting idea. They are optional.

C) Body paragraph 3
This paragraph is the trickiest of all. You need to convey to the examiner that:
• You are aware of the other side of the argument.
• Yet you believe that your side is logical or right.

Paraphrase your question along with an emphasis on your opinion.

at the back /​ at the rear /​ behind
 At the back and at the rear have a similar meaning, but at the rear is used more in formal or official language: Whatʼs that at the back of the fridge  Smoking is only allowed at the rear of the aircraft. It is more usual to talk about the back door of a house but the rear exit of an aircraft or public building. If something is behind something else it is near to the back of it but not part of it. Compare: Our room was at the back of the hotel andThereʼs a lovely wood just behind our hotel.
