It’s been 30 years.

30 years since this issue’s been out and it is evident that we are still incapable of understanding the effects we have on the earth, or a will to change. Neither an authoritative nor unified social response to the damage we persistently inflict on our shared home has been made. 30 wasted years, where we’ve made no progress in any of the mentioned problems. All interrelated.

The question must be asked again: What On EARTH Are We Doing?

Not overlooking the recent efforts of some European countries (salute); they are not The World.

There's more to C. S. Lewis than The Chronicles of Narnia. Besides being a sci-fi writer, he has also published numerous books on theology and ethics (also available here).

This sci-fi trilogy, known as The Space Trilogy, was first written in 1938 after a conversation between Lewis and longtime friend J.R.R. Tolkien over the growing dehumanising trends in contemporary sci-fi. The main character, Ransom, is partly based on Tolkien's position.
