▶️Built on our extensive experience in hosting international students during the past 52 years, the Students’ Scientific Society International Summer School ’21 team has designed the perfect social program to give all applicants the perfect experience to know all aspects of the enriched Egyptian culture, in addition to meeting people from all over the world and exchanging cultures with them.

The social program consists of 2 parts:
1 – Daily social program + weekend trips in Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx, Wadi El-Rayan, Nile Ride, Babylon fort, Saqqara Plateau, Saladin Citadel and Muhammed Ali Mosque, St. George Church and Egyptian Museum. 🏖⛵
2 – Social program extension trip that includes: Snorkeling and Scuba Diving in Dahab, Mount Sinai Hiking, St. Catherine monastery, Desert Safari and Camping. 🏖

The perk of having one full uninterrupted week of trips is that you will get to travel all around Egypt, giving you the chance to see most of the country’s attractions, and much of its culture.

➡️What is Summer school? it's a 2 weeks (extendable to 4 weeks) internship in one of Africa's and the Middle east's finest universities in medicine, Cairo university. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a scientific program which includes departments of General surgery, OBGYN, Pediatrics, Tropical medicine and others, as well as getting to experience the diversity of the Egyptian culture, which goes back 5000 years ago.

🚨Requirements:

•Good command of English language as it is the official language of the clerkship.
•Proof of enrollment in your medical school.
•A digitally scanned copy of your passport.
•A digitally scanned copy of a passport-size photo.
•A copy of payment receipt before the deadline specified in the acceptance email.
•A copy of the flight ticket to Cairo before the deadline specified in the sent email.

🚨Our program will be divided into:

⚫️The scientific or clinical program🩺💉

After applying to a maximum of 3 desired preferences out of the 6 mentioned below, you will be accepted in the program for which you match the required criteria according to the evaluation of your application form and the available spots.

•Gynecology & Obstetrics
•Pediatric Medicine
•Tropical Medicine
•Emergency Medicine
•Surgery
•Internal Medicine

All these departments will grant you the experience in one of the highest ranked hospitals in the Middle East (Kasr Al Ainy hospital 🏥 ) and applicants will have the privilege of performing hands-on examinations and communicating with patients which will enhance their clinical skills.

⚫️The social program 🏖

Building on our extensive experience in hosting more than 1343 international students with 34 nationalities for the past 52 years, the Students’ Scientific Society - Cairo International Medical Summer School 2022 Team has designed a social program to immerse all applicants in different aspects of the rich Egyptian culture.

The social program consists of two parts:

⛱Daily social program + weekend trips to locations such as:

Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx, Wadi El-Rayan, Hanging Church, Babylon Fort, and much more that you can find on our website.

⛱Social program extension (optional):

Mount Sinai hiking and St. Catherine Monastery visit, desert safari and camping, snorkelling and diving in the blue hole and more.

⚫️ Accommodation:

Lodging provided is double rooms at Nile gardens Hotel, located in Manial , Cairo.

Wi-Fi is available in rooms and public areas and is free of charge. The rooms boast a classic décor of carpeted floors, wooden furnishing and warm colors, and include a satellite TV, a wardrobe and a minibar. Room service is available 24 hours. Nile gardens hotel is a short walking distance from the hospital and very close to the Egyptian Museum, Downtown and several other attractions.

Place: Kasr Al-Ainy hospitals

Duration: from July 31 to August 14
(Not including the social trip extension)

🚨Package, either regular (2 weeks) or extended (1 month), will include all of the following:

• Airport pickup and drop off ✈️
• Welcome party
• Welcome package
• Accommodation in a room with AC, including days of arrival and departure
• Clinical clerkship (10 days in Kasr Al Ainy Hospital)
• Transportation: to and from hospital and throughout social program
• Day trips to Giza Pyramids, Alexandria, and Islamic Cairo
• Daily social activities within Cairo*
• Boarding: 2 meals per day**

*Entrance fees to tourist attractions are NOT included in the program fees. Only transportation to and from the destination is provided.
**Breakfast will be served in the hotel. Lunch is provided only on working days.
