Who is Paul Rand?
American graphic designer Paul Rand (1914 - 1996) skyrocketed the development of the American Modernist style. Rand is best known for his corporate logo designs, including the logos for IBM, UPS, Enron, Morningstar, Inc., Westinghouse, ABC, and NeXT.

Paul Rand: Thoughts/Processes is on the lookout for a group of eager design students to participate in the ’s immersive two-day packaging workshop.
Held in partnership with Fair Trade Egypt, an NGO dedicated to supporting Egyptian artisans, the workshop will focus on challenges commonly faced with packaging through facilitated teams. The workshop will ask students to conduct research, analysis, ideation, and prototyping.
The two-day immersive workshops will involve conducting research, analysis, ideation, and prototyping. The Symposium and Design Sprint are supported by grants from the U.S Embassy in Cairo and the American University in Cairo. The design sprint is also sponsored by Art in Reverb Creative Collaborative.
Held in AUC - Tahrir Cultural Center in the Oriental Hall on November 5th and 6th, the Design Sprint represents a weekend brimming with opportunity to expand participants’ understanding of their craft.

Paul Rand: Thoughts/Processes is on the lookout for a group of 20 eager designers and small business entrepreneurs to take part in the , held in parallel with an accompanying symposium.
Held in partnership with Fair Trade Egypt, a non profit organization dedicated to supporting Egyptian artisans, talented youth will focus on challenges within the Egyptian craft design and communications industry through facilitated teams. Participants will be handpicked by a group of experts for four separate disciplines: branding, packaging, strategizing, and global advertising and outreach. Creatives from different backgrounds will come together to dissect principles and explore new ideas via concentrated workshops that will draw from an ethnocultural point of view.
