Greatly thrilled to share organization of a Panel Discussion and an incredible Session “Leading with Impact” on the margin of the 2026 IEEE 23rd Mediterranean ELEctrotechnical CONference (MELECON’2026), one of the flagship conferences of IEEE Region 8, New Cairo, Egypt, February 2026.
✨The Session entitled: “✨Leading with Impact: Empowering the Next Generation for a Sustainable Future✨”

💫The panel brings together IEEE Region 8 leaders, IEEE Young Professionals R8, Women in Engineering, IEEE Sys Council and IEEE YP Egypt Section to discuss how inclusive leadership empowers early-career engineers and drives innovation. Focusing on women in engineering at the young professional stage, the session highlights real leadership journeys, the value of diversity, and practical ways to support the next generation of leaders. Through personal experiences and actionable insights, the panel emphasizes how gender and generational diversity fuel sustainable impact in engineering and technology.

💫It was really incredible session highlighting many pillars addressing Early-career leadership journeys and lessons learned, Encouraging and retaining women in engineering, the role of mentorship, visibility, and allyship. Fostering Diversity as a driver of innovation and better decisions and how IEEE supports young professionals and women leaders.

🎊Through shared experiences and data-driven discussions, we explored many initiatives, programs and activities that WIE in cooperation with all IEEE OUs can contribute to their communities.

The Session highlighted how gender and diversity can improve innovation and shading light on practical actions that encourage inclusive leadership.
Highlights the value of IEEE membership— Shed lights on how IEEE WIE supports Women, young girls, mothers, and promoting the role of women leadership and professional growth, exploring long-term career opportunities.
The WIE Session in cooperation with Young Professionals demonstrated the passion, career development opportunities and reinforcing the importance of investing in their development and engagement.
