I can’t help but wonder WHY !? Even if the funding is coming from the Japanese partners what is the added value to this historical site, since the third pyramid wasn’t entirely cased during the reign of Menkawra himself to begin with ?! The beauty of the pyramids is not in how they look, but rather in their history and reasons behind building them .
It might be argued that this is done to increase tourism and even with that i totally disagree! as this is the farthest thing that would encourage tourism, there are other reasons why tourists stopped coming and other ways to make the visit to this important archaeological site a memorable one ..
Moreover and based on other similar projects that were undertaken else where this will ruin the original appearance of the pyramid rather add any value to it !
Please use the fund in doing something more important !
