A heartfelt thank you to the Embassy of Canada in Egypt and the CFLI team for their unwavering support and partnership. This year marks one full year of working together to empower girls in Egypt through sports for development — a milestone that continues to strengthen our mission and deepen our impact.

We were honoured to celebrate this journey during the 16 Days of Activism at the ‘Unbreakable’ solidarity event, hosted at the residence of H.E. Ulrich Shannon, Ambassador of Canada to Egypt.

The event brought to life the transformative stations from Impact Academy’s Play it Brave Camp in Fayoum — a project proudly funded by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI). Each activity showcased how purposeful play, women’s health education, mental health support, and athletic training come together to build confidence, resilience, and safety for girls.

Today is the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace!
At Impact Academy, we believe that sport is more than just competition — it’s a powerful tool for inclusion, empowerment, and social change.

From the boxing ring to the field, we’ve seen firsthand how sport builds confidence, nurtures leadership, and unites communities — especially for girls and women who are often left on the sidelines.

On this day, we celebrate the courage of every young person using sport to dream bigger, push boundaries, and fight for a more just and peaceful world.

Let’s keep moving, lifting each other up, and playing for purpose.

في إمباكت أكاديمي، مؤمنين إن الرياضة مش بس منافسة، دي كمان أداة قوية للتمكين، الشموليه، والتغيير الاجتماعي.

من حلبة الملاكمة للملعب، شفنا بعينينا إزاي الرياضة بتبني الثقة في النفس، وبتزرع القيادة، وبتوحد المجتمعات – خصوصًا للبنات والسيدات اللي كتير بيتحطوا على الهامش.

النهاردة بنحتفل بكل شابة وشاب بيستخدموا الرياضة علشان حلمهم يكبر، ويكسروا الحواجز، ويبنوا عالم فيه عدل و سلام.

خلينا نفضل نتمرن، وندعم بعض، ونلعب علشان هدفنا و حلمنا.
