Company Description
Technosat Company for Communications and Information Technology is a leading provider of telecommunication and ICT solutions in Saudi Arabia. The company offers a diverse range of services, including software and application development, AI and smart solutions, consultation, and data center solutions.
Role Description The GIS Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing GIS solutions to support client projects. Responsibilities include integrating geographic and geospatial data, analyzing spatial datasets, and leveraging GIS tools to develop location-based insights. This role goes beyond technical GIS work — it requires a strategic thinker who can assess current operations, evaluate implementations, and contribute to business decision-making using spatial data.

Key Responsibility
Conduct a comprehensive assessment of current GIS capabilities, data, and workflows
Evaluate existing implementations, tools, and systems (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
Review and assess proposals from external vendors and partners (technical and commercial evaluation).
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop a clear GIS strategy and implementation road-map.
Support decision-making through spatial analysis, mapping, and reporting.
Collaborate with environmental, operational, and business teams.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Geo-spatial Data management.
Practical knowledge of Quantum GIS and related GIS tools.
Strong expertise in GIS tools such as ArcGIS and/or QGIS.
Strong Data Management and Analytical Skills.
Experience in spatial analysis and data visualization.
Ability to evaluate technical proposals and implementations.
Familiarity with cartographic principles and geocoding techniques.
Relevant academic background, such as a degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field.
