Stay Tuned ....

We are pleased to announce a new partnership project submitted by BTU Cottbus University, in collaboration with several regional universities, titled "Revitalization of Historic Waterfronts: Case Studies of the Suez Canal Cities", funded by the DAAD for a period of three months.

As Egyptian Sustainable Urbanism Lab (ESU Lab), representing Mansoura University, we are excited to be part of this research partnership. A key activity of this collaboration is an Integrated Urban Design Workshop titled "Revitalization of Historic Waterfront: Case Study of The Suez Canal Cities." This workshop will involve all partner universities and will invite 5 students from each university to participate in the fully-funded workshop. The workshop will take place in Port Said and Ismailia (the case study cities) that will be held in December, alongside additional online sessions.

The application is open to senior Bachelor’s students and Master’s students in the fields of architecture, urban design, urban planning, and heritage studies. This workshop is exclusively for students from partner universities, which include:

• Brandenburg University of Technology, Germany
• Cairo University, Egypt
• Alexandria University, Egypt
• Mansoura University, Egypt
• Baghdad University, Iraq
• University of Kurdistan Hewlêr, Iraq

Each university will manage its own application and selection process. Details for Mansoura University applicants will be announced soon.
