💚🌱 CELEBRATE THE WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY!

🇺🇳 United Nations declared the 5th of May as World Environment Day to raise awareness about our planet's ecosystems. In 2024, under the slogan , the UN is focusing this day on desertification and land restoration, problems that are currently affecting half of the total world population.

🏜️ 40% of the planet's land is degraded
🌵 The number and duration of droughts has increased by 29% since 2000

As fashion is the third industry for water and land consumer, today we reinforce our commitment to the environment to change the fashion industry and reduce its climate footprint to fight against water and other raw materials overconsumption that contributes to desertification, polluting Earth's freshwater sources and lands.

17.300 liters of water are needed to produce just one single pair of jeans. This is the equivalent of 20 full bathtubs. Can you imagine it?

The production of fashion has huge environmental and social impacts, and the fashion industry needs to take responsibility and seek solutions to it!

At Textilu, we want to provide more sustainable choices to fashion brands and designers for their new collections by offering them the possibility to use deadstock fabrics. Why produce new fabrics when we can use already produced ones and save existing resources?
