Finding Common Ground: A Balancing Act ⚖️

Writing this carousel made me think about the ongoing discussion surrounding global warming. ✍️

On one hand, there's the argument of 'we should stop using plastic, period,' advocating for a complete cessation of plastic usage. However, on the other hand, considering the widespread prevalence of plastic in our daily lives, the argument goes, 'well, we're already using plastic, so let's use plastics for everything.'

For me, the problem is that these two perspectives are focus on their own interests. Both sides are not working together.

We keep forgetting the power of collaboration and finding common ground.

Let's work together for a better future! 🤝

Work-life balance = Anything important to you, depending on the weight you give it and where you are in life.

The work-life balance depends on each one, it is very personal and individual, each one chooses what is the most important thing in their life and how to balance its weight.

📝The critical thing is to choose, act consciously and set limits to others and yourselves to respect those spaces, areas of your life that are important to you.

In the workplace, Forbes says "leaders can’t give their employees' work-life balance. Each person has to decide for themselves…"

I agree 💯, but leaders can influence. ⤵️

In the past 6 years I have worked with companies of different sizes and sectors, and employee's definition regarding work-life balance was very different in each place. However the quality and ease with which they achieved it depended on the company's culture in terms of prioritizing employee's well-being.

Yes, people choose what work-life balance means to them, but you choose whether it leads them to leave or stay with the company. In the workplace, it's up to leaders to open the way for people.
