Judit Giró Benet | Co-Founder + CEO

Judit graduated from the University of California Irvine with a master's in Embedded Cyber-Physical Systems. She wrote her bachelor's and master's thesis about cancer-sniffing dogs at UCI and the University of Barcelona. The idea for The Blue Box was born. The Blue Box is a biomedical device that mimics a dog's olfactory system to detect breast cancer through a urine sample.

Developing The Blue Box has been hard work, but Judit says her favorite part is seeing her team's growth and support from the community.

"My favorite milestone is reaching 200 research participants. The Blue Box Team put in a lot of hours and time at the hospitals that it was rewarding to see so many selfless women support us by participating."

The Blue Box received the Women TechEU grant! 🙌

Funded under the European Innovation Ecosystems, the program supports women-led start-ups. They will assist The Blue Box with funding, mentoring, and networking opportunities.

Thanks to this grant, we will be able to continue developing The Blue Box and improving our algorithm by incorporating new hospitals. 🚀
