So this is perhaps where it all began! Visiting Barcelona we left the crowds behind in an array of pretty terrible ‘bars’, instead we went to pay a visit to what turned out to be the fantastic Negroni. Whilst sat sipping our bespoke cocktails, we postured how great it would be if we could help to connect people new to a city with the best bars and cocktails that it has to offer…. Thus the Bar-Guru was born.⁣⁣

The bar is located on a small, quiet street within Barcelona’s El Ravel district, a short walk from the tourist hotspots of Las Ramblas.⁣⁣

We asked for a menu and were told, “this isn’t how things are done here”; much to our intrigue, the bartender proceeded to question us about our current mood and flavour preferences, before heading back behind the bar to get to work. We were somewhat sceptical at first, however, what we were presented with, resonates with us as some of our favorite cocktail creations ever. We switched between rum, vodka and amaretto, each drink was expertly crafted and has set the bar for our cocktail journey since.
